Introducing the Electret Microphone Amplifier with AGC, an easy-to-use solution for capturing audio in dynamic environments. This fully assembled and tested board comes with a 20-20KHz electret microphone pre-soldered, and utilizes the Maxim MAX9814 chip for superior amplification, designed specifically for situations where audio levels fluctuate.

Key Features:

• Automatic Gain Control (AGC): Adjusts the gain automatically, ensuring loud sounds don’t clip and quiet sounds are still audible.
• Configurable Gain: Default gain is 60dB, but you can adjust it to 40dB or 50dB by changing the Gain pin configuration.
• Adjustable Attack/Release Ratio: Switch between 1:4000 (default), 1:2000, or 1:500 for different response characteristics.
• Output: Provides a 2Vpp max output on a 1.25V DC bias, compatible with any analog/digital converter up to 3.3V input.
• Flexible Usage: Ideal for audio-reactive projects (using FFT libraries) or sound-level tracking (with Arduino sound meter tutorials).

Additional Features:

• High-Quality Amplification: Uses the MAX9814 chip for clean, reliable audio amplification.
• Line Input Compatibility: For line-level input, simply add a 1-100uF blocking capacitor (100uF recommended).
• Pre-Soldered Microphone: Comes with a high-quality electret microphone already soldered on, so its ready to use.
• Compact Design: Small form factor for easy integration into projects.

What’s Included:

• Fully assembled and tested amplifier board with an electret microphone soldered on.
• A small piece of header for easy connections.

Ideal For:

• Dynamic Audio Detection: Record or detect sounds in environments where audio levels change unpredictably.
• Audio-Responsive Projects: Perfect for sound-reactive designs, including those using frequency analysis (FFT).
• Sound Level Measurement: Use in sound-level monitoring applications with Arduino.

This microphone amplifier is a step above the rest, offering sophisticated audio processing without requiring manual adjustments. Whether youre capturing audio for recordings or creating interactive audio-reactive projects, this module has you covered.
